Botswana (NOW AVAILABLE ON SPOTIFY)
Dhruv Visvanath

When I was little, I spent a short amount of time in Zambia. My father was in the hotel business and I was luck to have spent some time in such an extravagant part of the world. I don’t remember anything however, for I was 2 years old when I left. Any way, I wanted to write a song about my time there and in my quest to try to find a word to rhyme with Zambia, I couldn’t find anything, so I called the song Botswana instead. Lost Cause
Dhruv Visvanath

My album, my tours, my story for this album was all born from this one song. I had the chorus line ringing through my head for a really long time, and I couldn’t find a place for it in any of my songs. So I used the time to sit down and build a song from a 10 second idea. Through that process I found myself creating a piece which spoke of something that felt energizing. All these years I’d been writing music about stories, about experiences and I think this was the first time i’d written a song about myself. The song speaks of the need to go and find what makes you unique. That the surrounding voices, all the negative thoughts, it doesn’t matter so long as you feel strong enough to chase your dreams. Nothing is a lost cause, so long as you have something to chase. Lyrics: Darling Open your heart ache Over the sofa (It's time to let it out) Over, over the wonders Of all those ceilings (The wolves can hear me howl) So long So long I wonder Call of the wild comes (The forest never hides) Broken Shoulder to shoulder Fighting the darkness (The end of chasing lights) Chorus Find a lost cause x4 Darling When are you sober All of the children Have grown away How do How do I wonder Electrical failure I'm chasing light (Chasing light) Find a lost cause Credits: Music: Dhruv Visvanath Acoustic Guitar: Dhruv Visvanath Keys and Synth: Dhruv Visvanath Lyrics: Dhruv Visvanath Produced by: Dhruv Visvanath Recorded by: Dhruv Visvanath Mixed by: Keshav Dhar (Illusion Audio) Mastered by: Vivek Thomas (Vivek Thomas Productions) Artwork: Prashast Thapan Manager: Rajeev Rao © Dhruv Visvanath 2018

The first single from the upcoming album "The Lost Cause" Check out the music video (Out 24th November) Lyrics Stop, as we wait For the motions to bear Hold, all those things You hold dearly Colour, All your eyes As you stop and stare This handsome fog lies Nowhere else Time to run Time to run from the Rising sun All these shadows Behind me I thought I had to run Time to hide All these valleys to overcome All these shadows Behind me I thought I had to run Wait, Don’t you know Why I chase you through forests Attached to your soles Don’t be afraid For the darkness you give Becomes more than shade I’m Listening, To the end of the day My silence is golden I’m humble I fear As night becomes home my soul disappears singing Ooooh Time to run Time to run from the Rising sun All these shadows Behind me I thought I had to run Time to hide All these valleys to overcome All these shadows Behind me I thought I had to run Written, Recorded, and Produced by : Dhruv Visvanath Mixed by: Keshav Dhar, Illusion Audio Mastered by: Vivek Thomas, Vivek Thomas Productions © Dhruv VIsvanath 2017 All Rights Reserved
