Intec Digital

Out now on Beatport https://www.beatport.com/release/cyclone/2436679 Spanish artist Andres Campo makes his Intec debut following previous releases on Second State, MOOD, RUKUS and Odd Recordings Already championed by some of the biggest names in techno, Andres has risen to fame as a solo artist, but also boasts collaborations with people like Ramiro Lopez and Alberto Ruiz. Ancient Gods ripples with tension as the pulsating percussion rhythms beat like a heart with a heightened pulse rate that's been raised by excitement. With a captivating sense of urgency, this cut will whip the dance floor into a frenzy with the way it teases each and every drop along the ride. ID166 1. Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink - Meteor
Intec Digital

Out now on Beatport https://www.beatport.com/release/meteor/2407634 Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell. Intec welcomes back Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink who with this EP are making their sixth collaborative appearance on the label, and together they have also joined forces for EPs on Bush Records, Phobiq and MB Elektronics along with Drumcomplexs own Complexed Records. Each of the guys also boast solo careers outside of their collaborative project, with Drumcomplex doing solo releases for OFF Recordings, Silver M, Unrilis and Different Is Different Records. He has also collaborated with the likes of Klaudia Gawlas and Frank Sonic for releases on Sleaze and Traum. Roel Salemink has also provided solo EP's to labels such as Gynoid Audio, Deeperfect and Jeton Records. He has also collaborated with other artists including Frankyeffe, Steve Mulder, and Microvibez for joint tracks released via imprints including KD Music and Loose Records. Meteor as its title suggests, comes down to earth with a crash and has a building energy that hits with impact. Its twisted vocal sample and bubbling acid-line increase the tension that ramps up with increasing momentum, and the hypnotic groove comes ever closer to its final collision aimed directly at the dance floor. Keeping the intergalactic theme alive Where Is The Moon is the deeper of the two cuts, and the rippling euphoria of the lead synth has a soothing sound that contrasts with the intensity of the percussion that surrounds it. Intelligent techno full of personality, this distinctive track has an understated sound that when it comes to DJ sets, could fit into a variety of different styles.

ID165 1. Fabio Neural - Flow Beat
Intec Digital

Out now on Beatport https://www.beatport.com/release/flow-beat/2407636 Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell, and the new release is from label regular Fabio Neural. Italian born Fabio Neural is known for the consistency of his productions that cover a full spectrum of techno but always with a dance floor focus. A popular DJ booking playing many of Europes top clubs and festivals, Fabio also boasts previous releases on labels including Dubfires SCI+TEC, Kaiserdiscos KD Music, Josh Winks Ovum, Andre Croms OFF Recordings, and Adam Beyers Truesoul. Fabio Neural is a core member of Intecs family of artists, and this release marks his eighth EP on the label. One of those early EPs was made in collaboration with Alex Costa, but the rest have been solo efforts. Arguably one of Carl Cox and Jon Rundells favourite artists, this latest outing on Intec is another fine example of Fabios exceptional production skills. Flow Beat kick starts proceedings and takes its title from the lyrics of the main vocal sample, which contrasts nicely with a second chanting style vocal that adds complimenting texture. Dark with an acid bassline and dramatic ambient stabs, this cut of charismatic techno has a great warehouse part vibe. Taking things up a gear is System which has a heads down techno style built on hard hitting percussion and rhythmical synth stabs. Whereas some may consider the first track to be light hearted, the sinister vibe of this is a stark contrast.

Full of energy, this peak time cut of techno is made more dramatic with explosive vocal bursts. Second is Savage that as the title suggests, is a beast of a track with its filtered chord stabs and fizzing hi-hats. Diego Infanzon has risen through the ranks of the South American electronic music scene and is hotly tipped as one of the regions most exciting talents, which is not only due to his skills behind the decks but also his growing back catalogue of produced music. Along with this his Intec debut he also boasts EPs on Christian Smith's Tronic, Uto Karems Agile Recordings, 2000 and Ones Bitten, as well as Chus & Ceballos' Stereo Productions. With a sound that also incorporates elements of house, this release showcases the techno orientated side of Diego Infanzons eclectic music taste. Locomotora opens the EP with acid flutters and stabbing synths layered with crisp percussion and subtle bursts of euphoria. Deep and shimmering, this techno cut has melodic elements fused with a rolling groove. Whether this is a harder track for melodic DJs, or a building track in a harder set, this multipurpose track is most definitely an essential addition. Take This One is second of the two tracks and it lifts things up a gear with tough percussion and an arpeggiated lead synth. The trippy modulation on the lead synth builds to an intense drop and the introduction of a looped vocal is both explosive and unexpected. If you are looking for a secret weapon to lift the mood or surprise a dance floor, then this is the track for you.

ID159 1. Matt Sassari Feat. Patrik Berg - Nervosity
Intec Digital

Out now on Beatport https://www.beatport.com/release/nervosity/2348004 Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell, and the new release is from Matt Sassari. Matt Sassari originally joined Intec working in collaboration with D-Unity but this is the Frenchmans second solo release following his EP on the label at the end of 2017. The success of his first solo release on Intec made a second almost inevitable and since then Matt Sassari has also contributed music to Dense & Pika's Kneaded Pains, Martin Eyerers Kling Klong, Sasha Carassis Phobiq and Monika Kruses Terminal M. On top of this he has also done a top selling remix of Green Velvets classic anthem "La La Land". A multitalented artist, Matt can effortlessly switch between making both techno and house music, but this release showcases his hard side with a thumping style that leans towards the more banging end of techno. Teaming up with German producer Patrik Berg fresh from their successful release together on Terminal M which received heavy DJ support and hit the top 3 on Beatport they are now back together for this next chapter on Intec. Nervosity starts the EP and from the offset takes no prisoners with the relentless pounding of its hammering kick drum. Building in intensity, the tracks ferocity is made more intense with grinding synths and the commanding vocals menacing tones. With a rigid sound that undoubtedly falls under the category of hard techno, this exhilarating track is strong enough to shake the foundation of any club in which its played. Second is Kun Daha which takes its title from the vocal phrases that have a tribal feel to them. Like a spiritual ceremony or perhaps a dark offering, the track has dramatic conga hits and booming tom drums reminiscent of those used by aboriginal tribes. Contrasting with the otherwise mechanical background, this distinctly individual cut has a tough sound and an unusual blend of textures. Not as hard as the first cut but still tailored to the club, this is peak time techno at its most captivating.

ID160 1. Frank Biazzi - Reflection
Intec Digital

Out now on Beatport https://www.beatport.com/release/reflection/2347994 Carl Cox is an industry figurehead who’s legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell, and the new release is from veteran Frank Biazzi. Belgium based Frank Biazzi is making his Intec debut following releases on labels including Marco Bailey's MB Elektronics and Christian Smith’s Tronic. Frank Biazzi also heads up his own label Trauma Records, and has remixed tracks by the likes of Ken Ishii and Mauro Picotto. A stalwart of Belgium’s techno scene, Frank is a regular booking at many of the country’s clubs and festivals, and often plays gigs in other parts of Europe. Having been involved in music for well over two decades, his early releases on the classic techno label Lupp Records were regularly supported by Carl Cox, Dave Clarke and Monika Kruse. Frank Biazzi had to remove himself from music for a number of years due to a growing problem with the hearing disorder tinnitus, but now back in the studio, he has spent the last couple of years picking up where he left off. Track one “Reflection” opens the EP with a thumping groove lead by the pound of the hammering kick drum. Taking its title from the looped vocal sample, the track has a thick sound comprising of only a few core elements. Each of the sounds have an ominous presence creating a raw aggression that’s timeless within the techno genre. Second on the EP “Ravage” is equally as hard as the first cut with a dark atmosphere and menacing intent. The lead synth takes a clear influence from late '90s techno, which is the style that Frank Biazzi is often associated, and fans of both new and old will not be disappointed with this intently powerful track.
