Phutek - Control
Respekt Recordings

UK techno badboy Phutek makes his Respekt debut with the awesome 'Control'. Having already been on heavy rotation from the don Carl Cox amongst others, it stars a resonant synth sequent reminiscent of early Underworld material, bonded to a percussive platform that'll loosen your fillings! On the flipside, 'pH1', as it's name suggests, is a perfectly crafted acid workout with a rolling bassline and thundercrack drums.

DJ Jock - Farewell
Respekt Recordings

Our Prospekt series returns for its quinary instalment with another fresh trio of talent, each providing a brace of cutting edge techno. First up for volume five is DJ Jock. 'Farewell' conjures memories of the early european trance sounds with stark, stirring melodies and relentless drive. Wayfarer is a groovier acid cut that makes a perfect set builder. Buitrago & Wuillermo Tuff join forces for the seriously sinister 'Grisha' and the equally tough, but more shuffling 'Hedeon' for the middle slice. The final section of this episode comes from Lowerzone, in the form of the frantic piano stab laden 'With Your Body' and it's synth-driven partner track 'Dopamine'
