@yairalbeg Israeli-born Yair Albeg Wein represents the new generation of composers who combine their unique traditional musical training with the gift of technological shrewdness. Yair grew up in a house with a long tradition for the arts, his mother a graduate pianist and educator of the prestigious Warsaw Music Academy, his uncle Yossi Wein, a world-renowned cinematographer and filmmaker. Since early age, Yair has shown impeccable musical abilities, from playing the recorder to wining first prize competitions for classical guitar in which he was rated as the best guitar player in Israel for his age group. Yair attended the "Jerusalem Music Academy". Yair has a wide record of credits from Israel to London to Hollywood; his scores are featured in Israeli TV Shows, feature films and worldwide advertisement campaigns. Yair’s music is also featured in some of the most exclusive catalogs of the industry such as Sonic Symphony, Really Slow Motion, Demented Sound Mafia and Warner Bros. Yair create works that thrives at the intersection of music and film, advertisements, video games and other media needs. “I believe that music is what underlies the lives of everyone, whether consciously or subconsciously. Music is the most powerful element of human communication. I was drawn to write music for film and digital media since it directly employs and amplifies that aspect of music, communicating ideas and conveying emotions.” Mīmāṃsā I 1 Bliz Nochi - Kalabhairava Ashtakam 2 Yair Albeg Wein - Nandi Hills 3 Abbesses - Darjeeling 4 Tolga Maktay - Kundalini (Original Mix) 5 Planet Caravan- Agdal 6 Jose Solano - Dharma 7 VINZOO - RAoNI 8 Electronica Massiva - Phanoman & Mozkai - Gazel (Edit) Mīmāṃsā II 1 Degman - Şindi 2 Passierschein A38 - The Art of Complaining 3 Jose Solano - Ganesha 4 Jack Essek - Sema (original Mix) 5 Miqou - Vedanta 6 Einida Eleven - Om Ram Ramya Swaha 7 KELLIE SAKKAKU - Varanasi Skies 8 Chöko Aba - Hoshun itunes: Credits: Songs To Your Eyes Ltd. - ((re-release))

  • TMM066: - Ariel Zetina

"This mix is full of songs with bonkers orchestrations and arrangements. The music and lyrics are saccharine but real and relatable af because in musicals, you only sing when there are no words left. I came to listen to musical theatre when I was young because singing and lip syncing these songs allowed me to access my femininity and emotional core due to the specificity of the mise en scène. Special thanks to Imp Queen (@imp_kid) <3 for her extreme knowledge and love of left field musical theatre." • Steven Universe - Love Like You (Reprise) - Compilation Edit [V5]

The new Steven Universe ending themes from seasons 4-5 seem to again be segments of a longer song. Since 'Reunited', it's confirmed to be a reprise of 'Love Like You'. The latest clip comes from the episode 'Escapism', and I expect this version of the song to conclude with the next episode, 'Battle of Heart and Mind'. • HERO
    Daniella Kor
  • Hugh Marsh - "She Will"
    Western Vinyl

From the full-length album Violinvocations available February 15, 2019 on Western Vinyl. Bandcamp: Spotify: iTunes: WV: HUGH MARSH Instagram Facebook Twitter Even if you’ve never heard of Hugh Marsh you’ve almost certainly heard the sound of his violin. He’s a featured player on soundtracks by Hans Zimmer and Harry Gregson-Williams, was nominated for a Juno award, recorded with Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Bruce Cockburn, and was in the backing band for Bauhaus’ Peter Murphy, all a tiny fraction of his decades-long list of credits. The latest addition to that list is Marsh’s own Violinvocations, an LP recorded while Marsh lived in L.A. with friend, mentor, and fellow soundbender Jon Hassell. Despite the album’s title, one would be hard-pressed to say with certainty whether violin was even involved in this album without being told so ahead of time. In one moment a ghost is heard weeping into a dictaphone; a digitized anime character is nervously chattering in the next; and in still another, jagged sheets of distortion avalanche toward the listener beneath auroric swells of harmony. It’s the kind of sound design that requires a dedicated attempt by any Oneohtrixian laptop composer, only it’s all being generated by Marsh’s violin and his curious cabinet of effects pedals often in just one take.

  • PREMIERE | Attilio - Sight Evaluation Samba [Musique Plastique] 2019
    44,100Hz Social Club

Musique Plastique continue to delve into the archives to bring us obscure hidden gems from yesteryear. Next up we have Attilio Panissidi III's lost classic originally released on Nu Vision in 1989. Attilio's 'Art takes a holiday' was born out of the ashes of a Portland Oregon's Art Carnage from 1983. After scoring a soundtrack for a Commercial film and making tracks which didn't fit the brief, including 'Sight Evaluation Samba'- A swinging electronic track which is anything but 4/4 as well as falling almost neatly into that oft overused but of so accurate 'Balearic' sound. As the dust settles after the party season and many of us return back to work, this is a beautiful track to reflect on the past year, our hopes and our dreams.
