'A dreamy song with a gorgeous bassline that captures you, ‘Save My Life’ is a true wonder' - Happy People Music 'The song is both energetic yet soothing at the same time.. Layers of analogue synths are both bubbly and infectious' - Puddlegum 'Coated in desirable melodies that will float you to paradise' - MoggBlogg 'A fine piece of chamber pop' - Fadeaway Radiate The relentless rhythm of lockdown manifests in the motorik inspired beat underpinning Save My Life. A driving yet melodic bass line glues to the drum machine, with a subtly pleading vocal up close and personal in the mix. Bubbling synths, filtered guitars and ghostly harmonics swirl around the soundscape adding depth and off-kilter sonic flourishes. ‘Save My Life’ asks a big question with a myriad of answers. All that’s really required to dig a tunnel through the despair is the knowledge that somebody actually cares about you. Someone that sees through those painted smiles and nonchalant shrugs and knows when you’re not ok. It’s not about heroics and grand gestures. This life is saved by love. 'If only' from debut album 'Heart Murmurs'.
San Francisco is the latest single from Cambridgeshire based alt-pop twosome, The Candle Thieves. The song was recorded in-between UK lockdowns, 2020. It illustrates the excitement of new love and the subsequent findings that both characters are flawed and have their own issues to deal with. It's set to a backdrop of drum, flute, synth and guitar samples leaving you feeling like you've listened to something brand new, yet nostalgic. The single sets the stage for the new album 'A Visitor's Guide To Normal' due for release December 11, 2020. LYRICS I want life in the barrel of a gun Trying so hard to be someone But it is just a dream I want love how you hear it in a song When I open my mouth the words come out wrong Now I can’t take it back Cause all you have is nothing If all you have is me I fall so far behind sometimes that I can barely breathe And as you turned away I thought I heard you say Hey, wait, cause when we met in San Francisco I got lost, and it never went away But I’m like you, broken too And this is all we have to lose Just wait, just wait When we met in San Francisco We got lost in the California sun When trouble found us we just ran And I’ve been running ever since I want to feel the ocean on my skin I want to find a way to be happy again And I don’t want to let go of you I know we’ve got our problems And I’m tired torn and used My love is only worn down like the sole under your shoes And as you walked away I thought I heard you say Hey, wait, cause when we met in San Francisco I got lost, and it never went away But I’m like you, broken too And this is all we have to lose Just wait, just wait I fell asleep dreaming of you Nightmares are all that I’m used to Take back the things that we’ve been through If I could Turn back the hands of time rewind Can’t seem to get you off my mind I just wanna leave it all behind When you say wait Just wait And I say Hey, wait, cause when we met in San Francisco I got lost, and it never went away But I’m like you, broken too And this is all we have to lose Just wait, just wait When we met in San Francisco When we met in San Francisco When we met in San Francisco

unfinished demo. from the perspective of an abuser with a strong guilty conscience...I think(???) I'll be sorry, again and again you'll be walking on glass forever, the bleeding with never end I'll rip the band aid on your skin and lick the red so, please forgive me in advance I'll scathe you one more time, and call it a night I left the bite marks on your skin to survive I'll warm you up, loving you under dim lights but for now I'll leave your cold and blind
Narrative: You look at me with disgust as if you’re constantly waiting for me to say something that rubs you the wrong way and that something seems to have many more options than ever before. I remind myself you asked me to come over but I always forget you don’t know how to talk to me, or choose not to, about anything. I’d be ecstatic to hear about a silly thought that’s crossed your mind recently or a good tweet you read during the course of your day or literally anything I’d act as if it’s exactly what I wanted to hear. You leave the room and I hear you talk to anyone else with such simplicity the words fall off your tongue like water from a fountain. I wonder if you think about me sitting in the other room waiting for you and feel dread or forget I’m even here. How can someone who once filled me with love and importance make me feel so cold. I have no expectations I can’t but I don’t know how much longer I can be ok with feeling unseen and unheard and question if you really want to see or hear me at all. I want to see and hear you and I remember you invited me over, but now I sit here alone and in this house I can feel my broken heart ache just a little bit harder than it’s normal state of pain. I have no expectations I can’t, but I don’t know how much longer I can watch you give everyone the time of day while I am met with silence and frustrated faces waiting to break into “you’re wrong for saying this instead of this” faces.

Zoom Zoom Records opens with an EP from the co-owner of the label Legroni from melodic techno to indie dance and dark disco. OZ EP is a five of bright, meaningful tracks that are written live. From retro Juno to fat Moog, sprinkled with magical vocalled percussive powder. The first track of this 5 track EP is the tittle track 'OZ 'which has already won the hearts of fans of Ibiza Global Radio. Endless waves of bass draw you in and let you go, because it's not just released on Zoom Zoom Records. Next follows the track 'Page', turning the sheet, you will feel a change in the character of the album, as we delve in to indie dance / dark disco vibes. Energetic and dramatic. Next, the 'What?' track turns on, as if asking you: “What's wrong? Why not? I want to sound so cheeky”. Then we have 'ZO', a mirror image of the OZ track, unreal proven explosive power. Which then carries you to a more progressive sound of the last track - Volen, this is the character, and vocal parts that no Legroni album will do without. Release Date 2020-11-30 Label @Zoom Zoom Records Catalog Number ZZ1
