An upbeat track driven by keys that puts an 80's synth spin on a conversation about today's current struggles in the world. Teleporting a listener out of this world via dancing guitar riffs and energized melodies the song is essentially a virtual rocket ship. Different than anything we've heard from Sarah Mootz thus far, "mars" delivers a fresh, and innovative sound to the Indie Pop/Rock world while offering a need-to- hear message to it's listeners.

Guess now my days all look like this; Like I’m holding on to the kid I was, And I’m slipping. What were we hoping; Is it that magic exists? Is it that your love is more than rust? I don’t know if it is. When I dreamed of it, Was it one of Your promises? Was it God or dust, A tomb or a cross? Or something that I’ve missed. What a year it’s been. Must my life still look like this; Like I’m holding on the grave I’ve dug. Or are You still in it? Are You still in it? Let’s go to Paris, We can both quit acting, And count the days until we can start. Hopeless nomadic, Broken but romantic. I just want to be where You are. So let’s go to Paris, We can both quit acting, And count the days until we can start. Hopeless nomadic, Broken but romantic. I just want to be where You are. So let’s run off to Paris, We can both quit acting, And count the days until we can start. I’m a hopeless nomadic, Broken but romantic. I just want to be where You are.
"Self-Theories" album out on the 23rd of November! SPOTIFY: https://bit.ly/selftheories "Weightless" by Plastic Barricades Dan Kert - vocals, guitars, bass Paul Love - drums, percussion Elina Pasok - backing vocals, keyboards Recorded at Shed Studios, London, UK, in 2020. Mixed by Paul Love in Paris, France Mastering by Andy "Hippy" Baldwin at Metropolis Studios, London, UK Produced by Plastic Barricades www.plasticbarricades.eu P L A S T I C B A R R I C A D E S Weightless Sometimes it feels like we are swimming heavy stones in our pockets Weight of our own ambitions pulls us down We’re scared to drown But refuse to turn around Where river joins the ocean we’ll climb upon the shore Lie down and watch it flow Longing for a change Lost inside the texture of this endless day We are reflections in the water We will only exist until it gets dark Float above and feel small, weightless like a feather It’s a beautiful journey, and we’re ready to embark And then we’ll find ourselves connected to the thoughts that we rejected Long ago, long before Yesterday will be tomorrow We will live through all our sorrows once again They will leave us only when The river joins the ocean, we’re far away from shore Much stronger than before Ready for a change And no longer lost inside this ending day We are reflections in the water We will only exist until it gets dark Float above and feel small, weightless like a feather It’s a beautiful journey – are you ready to embark? Soaring through the liquid atmosphere Learning to survive this stormy weather There is only now, there’s no more fear As long as we stay together One day we’ll become the ocean Filled with playful glimmer under bright blue sky No more weight, just pure devotion We’ll be floating through the universe, we’ll fly! We are reflections in the water We will only exist until it gets dark Float above and feel small, weightless like a feather It’s a beautiful journey – are you ready to embark?
Straight outta Portland, Oregon, and contemporaries to Lithics, L.O.X., Lavender Flu, Mope Grooves, and other exciting mutant strains of DIY post-punk. Hot Gum's debut is an earnest 4-track practice-space concoction full of improvised epiphanies. It reminds me of early indie pop like Young Marble Giants, or Yo La Tengo. This is the kind of "folk" music we need in today's hazy climate.
LYRICS I need a break from days of winning I lit a lake of gasoline You’ve seen how my days have been better Shy shy shy Baby Child, I was GOLDEN Shout shout shout Children You must lie, and for the rest, dont think. Just get out of here! Please keep this between us There couldn’t have been a better time I’m not afraid to kiss you no it’s just You got the nicest eyes in the city You got the nicest eyes in the city And we can’t spend the night oh no not even at my place And I heard that sleep is for the weak it gets old Dont worry it gets better The night could show you so much more if you’d let her She’s only got one thing to say to you and it’s just You got the nicest eyes in the city x4 And I don’t even know Is the the part of love when I start feeling cold? No I don’t need to know but Is this the part of love when I start feeling cold? I know I I wanna feel good It’s All In The Game :)

From the upcoming album, Synestalgia Written by Marlon Chaplin Produced by Ewan Kay Recorded at Candle Recording (Toronto, ON) Mixed and mastered by Ewan Kay Personnel: Marlon Chaplin - Vocals, Guitars, Bass Ewan Kay - Guitars, Bass, Synths Spencer Cole - Drums Lyrics: Modern Romance Two can play at the game never seeing no one except themselves, The mirror never lies but that’s why you can edit (adjust your life), You’re independent, You don’t need someone’s opinions to love yourself, You’re all alone now and connected to the millions, Do you love yourself? I can take the chance that you don’t want to take, I’ll keep the word that you don’t want to break, And then we’ll dance, Never looking down at the steps we take, Modern romance, Two can play at the game never seeing no one except themselves, The mirror never lies but that’s just an opinion when it’s your device, You’re independent and connected to the millions, Do you have the time?, You’re too busy to be expected to love yourself, There’s a place where they can’t reach us, What they don’t know they can’t teach us, I can take the chance that you don’t want to take, I’ll keep the word that you don’t want to break, And then we’ll dance, Never looking down at the steps we take. ©℗ Marlon Chaplin 2020

Bin Idris’ 7inch single, collectively titled “Two Songs”, featuring “Spirit Whale of the Majestic Ocean” and B-side “Ibrahim dan Iblis”. Written and recorded throughout 2016 and 2017, Haikal Azizi’s seemingly incomprehensible chanting is quite the nod to his debut digital release, “Mahabharata”, alongside the airy echoes and sloppy progression, making this release a possible head-turn or eyebrow-raising for unfamiliar listeners tuning in since his self-titled LP while being a nostalgic gem for early listeners. This release is pressed on 300 copies of vinyl; 30 of them, inserted randomly, are Wax Mage vinyl hand-poured and hand-arranged directly on press (also hand pressed) by Heather and Sarah, and the good people at Gotta Groove Records in Cleveland, Ohio.
