A Sincere Thanks, as always, to my dear friends Stephen Beneking (https://soundcloud.com/stephan-beneking) and Milana Zilnik (https://soundcloud.com/milanazilnik) for allowing me to remix my 14th Project in the PRB series of Piano compositions by Stephan and played on the piano by Milana. Very Honored to work on this project! :-) Program Info: I have basically attempted to enrich the Original Piano track melody with injections of "Full Strings Spiccatto Orchcestra" and topped off with a mild Amberglance Ambient Atmosphere in this Remix. The Original Album by Stephan & Milana is available for purchase both digitally and on CD: http://milana.bandcamp.com/album/petits-reves-bizarres-xiii-xxiv https://itunes.apple.com/album/petits-reves-bizarres-xiii/id695284812 http://www.amazon.com/Petits-Bizarres-XIII-Xxiv-Stephan-Beneking/dp/B00EUS6XSG http://www.amazon.com/Petits-Reves-Bizarres-XIII-XXIV-Milana/dp/B00FFKCBH0 As always, it is sincerely appreciated that my listening audience support the original artists and check out their music! Please check out the above links to purchase your very own copy of the PRB's and their Soundcloud pages for even more wonderful music! Enjoy and Warm Regards, Mrinal D.

The third album in the "Solo Piano Diary" Trilogy ==================== The series was created as a means for Lindquist to seek truth from his own heart as well as an outlet for self-expression, and these wonderful pieces are in their purest and most sincere form, unedited and in the moment. Strong classical influences can be heard as well as jazz, new age, and even a little gospel. The moods are consistent enough to provide a subtle backdrop for other quiet activities, but I highly recommend giving this album your full attention at least a few times, as it’s too beautiful to not savor in its entirety. I will reuse my own quote from the previous two Diary reviews and re-state that “This is music to get lost in, hoping never to be found again!” as it is just as fitting for this collection. There are too many tracks to mention each one, but I have to say that there is no filler or fluff and all of the pieces are reflective and spare. The beginning piece, dated 11/10/12 and titled “Coming Back,” is a lovely intro, setting a quiet, peaceful tone for the album. “I Need to Sleep” has the feeling of late-night musings at the piano - minimal and soft-spoken. As would be expected from the title, “My Gospel” has a very hymn-like style which is mostly quiet with a few gospel phrases in the middle that present a pleasant surprise. “Be There” is subtle and very graceful with lots of open space, giving the music plenty of breathing room. “So Happy” conveys a deep sense of contentment rather than a giddy joy. “Always” expresses a tender passion that makes it a favorite. “Walk With Me” is warm and peaceful while “Farewell” is more conversational and bittersweet. “My Island” closes the album with a soft-spoken tribute to a special place. If you are new to Christian Lindquist’s Solo Piano Diary series, this is a great place to start for soothing, relaxing piano music with substance. If you have the first two in the series, #3 is a perfect finish to the set. It is available from Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby. Very highly recommended! //Kathy Parsons

As the saying goes: nothing ever ends well, otherwise it would not end. And yet large parts of us still wish things would not end, even after we convince ourselves it is for the best. Is it an act of grace to accept fate and slowly fade away without a fight, or does the universe want to test our resolve and see just how far we are willing to go to obtain, and more importantly perhaps to keep, the object of our desires? It is human not to know; it is human to exist in bewilderment regarding such matters. Being aware of this, however, never makes it any easier. Endings always bring an emptiness in a person's heart and soul. No one ever wants to fail, but sometimes we wait too long to really try in the right ways to truly succeed. The eleventh hour concession is always the hardest case to handle. It leaves one with many doubts. It leaves a person with the hope that things would be, could be, should be, better if only... In such cases the weather can be forever raining in one's heart. ALBUM INFO: "The Idea Of You" is the first of a trio of neoclassical solo piano albums composed, performed, and produced by Andrew Souter. These projects have been two decades in the making and represent a return to traditional music composition, engaging song-writing, and the pure passion of emotional story-telling. This Andrew's most personal and intimate music. It is quite literally a love project. We hope it may it help you on your journey, as it has us... The Idea Of You Cover Art "The Idea Of You" is music inspired by the spirit of Eros and all of its blessings as well as its tribulations. It explores the vicissitudes of romantic love, the delicate seasons and contour of life, and all the lessons learned along the way. Themes of desire, passion, limerence, romantic love, idolatry, jealousy, envy, loss, regret, forgiveness, acknowledgment, appreciation, acceptance, and eventually glimpses of true understanding permeate the work. It attempts to communicate that which so many of us can never quite communicate properly with words. It is an open apology for the clumsy mistakes we all make when coming to maturity in learning how to care selflessly for another human being. It is a gentle reminder as to what is most important in life, as well as an invocation to continuously seek self-improvement regarding our understanding of such matters.
