Out now on Eskimo Recordings “Once I thought of us as more than hopeless lovers, It was only a mirage…” ‘Mirage’ is the new single from German producer Tim Bernhardt, aka Satin Jackets. Released this November on Eskimo Recordings, ‘Mirage’ continues Bernhardt’s winning streak that has made him one of the hottest nu-disco/house producers around, clocking up more than 20 million plays on Spotify alone in the past few years. Following on from this summer’s Nordic themed hit ‘Northern Lights’, Bernhardt has once again looked to Scandinavia for inspiration. “I think this might be the hookiest track I have made so far,” explains Bernhardt. “But then you start looking for the best possible topline which, of course, can be like searching for the Holy Grail, but on a trip to Stockholm at last it all came together. BOOM! You can definitely hear the strong Swedish pop influence in it. I can’t wait to see how people will react to it.” Built upon a gentle bed of bubbling synths, delicate guitar licks and laidback beats ‘Mirage’ is classic Satin Jackets, the song’s beautiful melodies the perfect setting for the bittersweet lovelorn lyrics that tell of a moment of self-realisation at the end of a relationship. It’s fair to say that heartbreak has rarely sounded so good. https://soundcloud.com/kaltblutmagazine https://soundcloud.com/dancingastronaut http://www.kaltblut-magazine.com/track-premiere-satin-jackets-mirage/ http://www.dancingastronaut.com/2017/11/premiere-satin-jackets-mirage/ FIND SATIN JACKETS ONLINE AT: http://satin-jackets.com http://facebook.com/satinjackets http://twitter.com/satinjackets FIND ESKIMO RECORDINGS ONLINE AT: www.eskimorecordings.be www.facebook.com/eskimorecordings www.twitter.com/eskimorecords www.soundcloud.com/eskimorecordings https://play.spotify.com/user/eskimorecordings www.instagram.com/eskimorecordings/ Lyrics: Overthinking every single part about us Building ideas out of air Over analyze our flaws and all our angles I can’t get it out of my head When we’re good, we’re good Only me and you And when we’re low, we’re low And it fucks up the picture But when we’re good, we’re good All I wanted was to stay in this illusion Without knowing we’re imperfect just the way we are Was it me, was it you, or just someone we could blame instead ‘Cause all I wanted was to stay in this illusion All we do is throwing words and empty bottles We’re the best at fooling hearts Once I thought of us as more than hopeless lovers It was only a mirage

Ian Ruhala, better known as HALA, has been writing and recording music for several years now and at the young age of 18, he is already a singer/songwriter veteran. With several releases already under his belt, even before graduating high school, Ruhala has created some buzz with his solo, at-home/DIY recording style that relates well with music from artists like M. Ward, Mac DeMarco and Travis Bretzer. After attending college at Central Michigan University for a semester, Ruhala’s mind was more on lyrics than on school-work. Writing over sixty songs during this time period, Ian decided to fully immerse himself into his passion to manufacture his first proper debut, Spoonfed. The meaning behind Spoonfed, as Ruhala explains, is about dealing with the things and ideas that people feed you when you are young, and trying to do your best to not repeat the norm. Songs like “Phone Calls,” and “Not Your Modern Man” discuss topics like marrying young, and society’s fear of face-to-face interaction with each other, with lyrics that you will be surprised to find out, came from an 18 year old kid from Michigan. Every song on this album tells a story; heart-break is talked about in the ironically upbeat song “Reruns,” and the track “Just Because,” shows HALA’s appreciation for the simple things in life, with the line, “Sunday morning, Dad’s at home, watches football and paints his toes, will I ever be?” One thing is for sure, it is extremely refreshing to see someone so young be able to produce something of this magnitude; Ruhala’s future is bright. Get your bowls, and a spoon, because this Indie singer/songwriter says, "breakfast is served."

I've been there before, Hoping and trying to make things right. But now i don't know, Honey these arms that once held you are ready to fight. I've been there before, Hoping and trying to make things right. But now i don't know, Honey these arms that once held you are ready to fight. Home is everywhere your heart is, I can be that home if you please, Walk with me and we'll be gone, dear.

Postiljonen is a dream pop trio deriving from Scandinavia. The band emerged quietly back in September 2011 and is composed of Norwegian vocalist Mia Bøe alongside Swedish multi-instrumentalists Daniel Sjörs and Joel Nyström Holm. After releasing a handful of online only singles in their native Scandinavia (including the heartbreaking interpretation of Whitney Houston’s classic ‘How Will I Know’, renamed here to ‘All That We Had Is Lost’) the trio have managed to create a highly characteristic sound, where ethereal and alluring vocals are interwoven in a mystical, ambient, dreamy and lovable expression. They have been compared to the likes of M83, Air France, Sigur Ros, jj and Cocteau Twins. Taking inspiration from old black and white movies, the golden 80s, Balearic scenery, sleepless summer nights and describe themselves as nostalgic daydreamers, all of which mirrors beautifully within Skyer’s ten songs. Featuring singles ‘Supreme’ and Atlantis’, Skyer is summery pop music at its best; made for lazy days and dreamy nights. Skyer is released on July 22 2013. http://bestfitrecordings.com/ http://hybr.is/ http://postiljonen.tumblr.com/
"They only watch because our love is so primitive" 'Primordial' is the latest single from nu-disco hit machine Tim Bernhardt, aka Satin Jackets, and sees the German producer reunited with North Carolina based singer Niya Wells. Combining some of the best beats and basslines in the business with a smattering of piano and some delicately swirling strings, Tim has produced the perfect setting for Niya's sultry, lovelorn vocals. The end result is an electrifying house track that goes down easier than the first cocktail of the night, sure to soundtrack the summer. Talking about the song Niya explains, "A few months after the release of 'Never Enough' Tim sent me several new tracks and I immediately gravitated towards this track. While writing the lyrics, the word 'primitive' kept coming to mind, I wasn't completely sold on it for various reasons – one reason being the negative connotations tied to it – but I just couldn't release the idea. There's much to love about those moments that don't require much thought. Those rare experiences with individuals who just happened to show up at the right place, at the right time, seeking, craving that primal connection and that's what I wanted to capture with this song. No one should ever feel the need to censor themselves or miss out on life changing happenings, for the sake of conforming to the demands of those who don't matter. Tap into that primitive energy! Live your life, and see what you connect to!" Whether producing modern balearic house anthems such as 'You Make Me Feel Good', seductively soulful tracks like 'Through The Night' or bonafide poolside classics like 'For Days', Tim has established himself as one of the biggest names in the modern disco scene clocking up more than 25 million streams of the debut Satin Jackets album, 'Panorama Pacifico', on Spotify alone. LYRICS The sky is falling Don’t look up tonight Aren’t you tired of running Let our worlds collide Chaos is calling Don’t pick up tonight Can we just live in the moment We don’t have much time I don’t care - one could only wish for what we have They all stare cause a love like this they wish they had They only watch because our love is so primitive Our love is so primitive They only watch because our love is so primitive Our love is so primitive The stars are falling Let's enjoy the plight And as the world is burning We’ll dance with the fire There will be judgement Let them crucify Cause in the end I want nothing But you by my side I don’t care - one could only wish for what we have They all stare cause a love like this they wish they had They only watch because our love is so primitive Our love is so primitive They only watch because our love is so primitive Our love is so primitive https://soundcloud.com/satinjackets http://satin-jackets.com http://facebook.com/satinjackets http://twitter.com/satinjackets https://soundcloud.com/niyawells https://www.facebook.com/niya.wells https://www.instagram.com/niyawells https://twitter.com/NiyaWells_ http://soundcloud.com/eskimorecordings http://www.eskimorecordings.be https://open.spotify.com/user/eskimorecordings http://www.youtube.com/eskimorecordings http://www.facebook.com/eskimorecordings http://twitter.com/eskimorecords https://www.instagram.com/eskimorecordings/

SCOTT YODER "Where Are They Now" A Fool Aloof Burger Records (2018) TAPE OUT NOW: http://burgerrecords.11spot.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=yoder Seasoned musician Scott Yoder has travelled a persistent & diverse path since he first began performing as a young teenager. From starting out with the noisy garage pop of his former band The Pharmacy to playing as a backing musician for Kimya Dawson he has always reinvented himself. All the while opening for bands such as Fleet Foxes, Smith Westerns, Black Lips & Kevin Morby. As a solo musician he further evolved his sound into fronting an electrified & theatrical band of glammy freaks across the US & Europe. After a series of cassettes he released his first solo LP “Looking Back In Blue” to critical acclaim in May 2016. “Lyrically impressive songs & melodies drive this album” (Surviving the Golden Age) “No matter what the sound the songwriting remains the strongest part of Scott’s work” (Clunk Magazine). His new 7” “Ways Of Love” (Greenway Records) comes out in September as he embarks on a US tour. Drawing inspiration from T. Rex, The Damned & Kate Bush the new single evokes a moody & danceable darkness that compels you to follow him deeper. Look for him & his band (featuring Shawn Randles from Boyfriends, Bryant Moore from The True Loves & Brent Zmrhal from Slushy) this fall as he tours the USA.

I guess I should stop Looking out for you Like I always do When will you Start looking out for me too Instead of leaving me Staring at my shoes It’s just the way you’re glancing at me Something about you Just makes me feel guilty for Liking you When you’re with him When you’re with him This is a love song for a girl Who will never know it’s about her, I know it’s pretty stupid But I’m much too shy to tell her She’s beaming that smile All the while, I’m all choked up on my own throat I guess there is no hope And we’re walking out in the snow I say I guess I Should go And we’re talking ‘bout someone else When we should Be talking about ourselves It’s the same old situation You’ve always got me waiting Come on dear I think times a wastin’ Before we have to go back inside And return to our normal lives This is a love song for a girl Who will never know it’s about her, I know it’s pretty stupid but I’m much too shy to tell her She’s beaming that smile All the while, I’m all choked up on my own throat I guess there is no hope
