aw damn, another sad track lyrics: Today I feel like I woke up in a bad dream I feel so alone, standing on this crowded street The sun burns my eyes and I can’t see clear The bright future for you and me Do you want me around, cause I can disappear Fly with the wind or melt in the sea Nothing no more feels so unique I have no one to hold, no one to speak And maybe if I know how this is going I won’t be stupid, I won’t be showing My trust for you, my trust for you And maybe if I stopped hiding from it there will be chance for me to keep going without you, without you i give up, there's no one, around here, to hear my call, and maybe I’m the one that should be blamed, maybe I'm the one that should be scared, of loneliness, I never tried too hard to be the one, that you would cry for every time he's gone, and now I'm here, I'm rotting here

In April of 2008, we at Sub Pop Records had the good fortune to release the US version of Antidotes, the debut album by Oxford, UK quintet Foals. Antidotes was a special album. Two years on from that impressive introduction, a choice has been made–-rather than contort Antidotes’ lithesome guitars into ever more elaborate patterns, Total Life Forever is the sound of a band settling into and surveying the decay of old protocols. With this new album, Foals strip their sound back and turn themselves inside out searching for that invisible human thing. The result is an album as persuasive emotionally as Antidotes was physically. Whereas that album constantly reinforced its own presence by filling the air with yelping and polyrhythm, tracks on Total Life Forever such as disarming opener “Blue Blood,” “2 Trees” and the astonishing “Black Gold” are happier to leave gaps for the listener to explore in mind’s ear and eye. Written primarily in the basement of their Oxford HQ (“The House of Supreme Mathematics”) and recorded in Gothenburg with former Clor man Luke Smith, Total Life Forever finds Foals singing rather than shouting, emotional as well as functional. The band’s soul-search reveals new antidotes found in infinite, internal spaces rather than carved violently upon the air–-Total Life Forever feels more the work of artists than artisans. It’s a triumph that they’ve managed to remain a band of progress and propulsion while investigating that vast, dark space lurking inside themselves-–that gap between ribs where “nature, or god or whatever you wanna call it, will come in.” Released: June 15, 2010 1. Blue Blood 2. Miami 3. Total Life Forever 4. Black Gold 5. Spanish Sahara 6. This Orient 7. Fugue 8. After Glow 9. Alabaster 10. 2 Trees 11. What Remains
Postiljonen is a dream pop trio deriving from Scandinavia. The band emerged quietly back in September 2011 and is composed of Norwegian vocalist Mia Bøe alongside Swedish multi-instrumentalists Daniel Sjörs and Joel Nyström Holm. After releasing a handful of online only singles in their native Scandinavia (including the heartbreaking interpretation of Whitney Houston’s classic ‘How Will I Know’, renamed here to ‘All That We Had Is Lost’) the trio have managed to create a highly characteristic sound, where ethereal and alluring vocals are interwoven in a mystical, ambient, dreamy and lovable expression. They have been compared to the likes of M83, Air France, Sigur Ros, jj and Cocteau Twins. Taking inspiration from old black and white movies, the golden 80s, Balearic scenery, sleepless summer nights and describe themselves as nostalgic daydreamers, all of which mirrors beautifully within Skyer’s ten songs. Featuring singles ‘Supreme’ and Atlantis’, Skyer is summery pop music at its best; made for lazy days and dreamy nights. Skyer is released on July 22 2013. http://bestfitrecordings.com/ http://hybr.is/ http://postiljonen.tumblr.com/
Out now on Eskimo Recordings “Once I thought of us as more than hopeless lovers, It was only a mirage…” ‘Mirage’ is the new single from German producer Tim Bernhardt, aka Satin Jackets. Released this November on Eskimo Recordings, ‘Mirage’ continues Bernhardt’s winning streak that has made him one of the hottest nu-disco/house producers around, clocking up more than 20 million plays on Spotify alone in the past few years. Following on from this summer’s Nordic themed hit ‘Northern Lights’, Bernhardt has once again looked to Scandinavia for inspiration. “I think this might be the hookiest track I have made so far,” explains Bernhardt. “But then you start looking for the best possible topline which, of course, can be like searching for the Holy Grail, but on a trip to Stockholm at last it all came together. BOOM! You can definitely hear the strong Swedish pop influence in it. I can’t wait to see how people will react to it.” Built upon a gentle bed of bubbling synths, delicate guitar licks and laidback beats ‘Mirage’ is classic Satin Jackets, the song’s beautiful melodies the perfect setting for the bittersweet lovelorn lyrics that tell of a moment of self-realisation at the end of a relationship. It’s fair to say that heartbreak has rarely sounded so good. https://soundcloud.com/kaltblutmagazine https://soundcloud.com/dancingastronaut http://www.kaltblut-magazine.com/track-premiere-satin-jackets-mirage/ http://www.dancingastronaut.com/2017/11/premiere-satin-jackets-mirage/ FIND SATIN JACKETS ONLINE AT: http://satin-jackets.com http://facebook.com/satinjackets http://twitter.com/satinjackets FIND ESKIMO RECORDINGS ONLINE AT: www.eskimorecordings.be www.facebook.com/eskimorecordings www.twitter.com/eskimorecords www.soundcloud.com/eskimorecordings https://play.spotify.com/user/eskimorecordings www.instagram.com/eskimorecordings/ Lyrics: Overthinking every single part about us Building ideas out of air Over analyze our flaws and all our angles I can’t get it out of my head When we’re good, we’re good Only me and you And when we’re low, we’re low And it fucks up the picture But when we’re good, we’re good All I wanted was to stay in this illusion Without knowing we’re imperfect just the way we are Was it me, was it you, or just someone we could blame instead ‘Cause all I wanted was to stay in this illusion All we do is throwing words and empty bottles We’re the best at fooling hearts Once I thought of us as more than hopeless lovers It was only a mirage
Hi I’m OOHYO and this is my first EP album, Girl Sense. I think writing music is like taking pictures, both ways of capturing a moment’s feelings and thoughts. I wrote the songs for this album to put together images and monologues of my late teens and early twenties, that sometimes thrill me, sometimes turn me melancholy, sometimes leave me unsure or unaware of my own feelings. Though I’m only beginning to discover my own potentials as a musician, I hope this album serves as hope and encouragement to those who can identify with it. Thanks for checking it out. You can get. Ian Ruhala, better known as HALA, has been writing and recording music for several years now and at the young age of 18, he is already a singer/songwriter veteran. With several releases already under his belt, even before graduating high school, Ruhala has created some buzz with his solo, at-home/DIY recording style that relates well with music from artists like M. Ward, Mac DeMarco and Travis Bretzer. After attending college at Central Michigan University for a semester, Ruhala’s mind was more on lyrics than on school-work. Writing over sixty songs during this time period, Ian decided to fully immerse himself into his passion to manufacture his first proper debut, Spoonfed. The meaning behind Spoonfed, as Ruhala explains, is about dealing with the things and ideas that people feed you when you are young, and trying to do your best to not repeat the norm. Songs like “Phone Calls,” and “Not Your Modern Man” discuss topics like marrying young, and society’s fear of face-to-face interaction with each other, with lyrics that you will be surprised to find out, came from an 18 year old kid from Michigan. Every song on this album tells a story; heart-break is talked about in the ironically upbeat song “Reruns,” and the track “Just Because,” shows HALA’s appreciation for the simple things in life, with the line, “Sunday morning, Dad’s at home, watches football and paints his toes, will I ever be?” One thing is for sure, it is extremely refreshing to see someone so young be able to produce something of this magnitude; Ruhala’s future is bright. Get your bowls, and a spoon, because this Indie singer/songwriter says, "breakfast is served."

Lay me down Lay me down Lay me down Can't help I'm feeling like a reject Sometimes I feel so damn derelict You bathe me in the saltiest of tears When I'm sad they show me how to face my fears. I'm not, not gonna lie I think, think I could die happy Happy, happy in his eyes Lay me down in the river Love me like I'm a sinner Lay me down Lay me down Lay me down If I drown in the river Will my soul be delivered? Lay me down Lay me down Lay me down Bury all my skeletons and let 'em stay dead Exorcise the demons making homes in my head And wash away my dirt and wash away this hurt And lay me down to rest I'm not, not gonna lie I think, think I could die happy Happy, happy in his eyes Lay me down in the river Love me like I'm a sinner Lay me down Lay me down Lay me down If I drown in the river Will my soul be delivered?
